Dr Anne Hollows
Principal Lecturer Social Work at Sheffield Hallam University
Anne Hollows has worked in social work as a practitioner, researcher and educator for over 40 years. She gained a PhD, researching professional judgement in social workers. During the last 15 years she has been involved in programmes to develop international approaches to social work in post soviet countries. She has always been committed to the development of community support for families and children, from both secular and faith organisations, and to the particular needs of migrant and refugee families. She has been a member of the Cohesion Advisory Group for the past 4 years and is secretary of One Sheffield Many Cultures. She has been working to develop the concept of cohesion in church communities in Sheffield and South Yorkshire.
