Cohesion Good Practice

Equality, respect, one earth

Cohesion Sheffield began in May and had an official launch in October 2017 in Sheffield Winter Gardens. Speakers from Cohesion Sheffield, John Lewis, Gripple, VAS, South Yorkshire Police and Sheffield City Council’s Lord Mayor spoke at the event. Hundreds attended from many organisations including hundreds of children from at least five Primary and Secondary schools. People in the Winter Gardens had the opportunity to have their say about cohesion on bunting that was displayed alongside visual and creative writing entries for the  ‘I’m a Sheffielder because…’ competition’ supported by Learn Sheffield.

Prizes were awarded and Secondary school students performed.

Cohesion Case studies gathered by the Cohesion Advisory Group were on show. We would like to showcase your case study of Cohesion in action so please contact us to let us know-you can find the form to submit one under the ‘Promoting Cohesion’ tab  under documents entitled: ‘CS Good Practice Cohesion Case study’.

One of our partners, One Sheffield Many Cultures, recently held its annual festival in Barker’s Pool. Here is a link to some fantastic photos by Tim Dennell.
